Arrow Electronics announces the start of an enhanced technical support programme for Texas Instruments' (TI) new SIMPLE SWITCHER nano modules and regulators. TI's nano products are power management integrated circuits (ICs) for space-constrained point-of-load designs in industrial, communications and automotive applications. Arrow will be helping customers assess the suitability of the nano devices for their applications and supporting the design phase through the supply of demonstration and evaluation boards, together with ongoing technical advice. An instruction webinar and online product selection tools will also be available. TI's nano modules and regulators combine high levels of integration with extremely compact packaging, enabling users to significantly reduce the footprints of power supplies for embedded applications. Design cycles are also shortened owing to the pre-integration of components and availability of online tools. Arrow supplier business manager, Rob Maycroft, commented, "Arrow's European engineering team has worked closely with Texas Instruments in the run up to the launch of the SIMPLE SWITCHER nano modules and regulators to ensure we are well prepared to advise and support our customers. Designers who work with our field applications engineers will have access not only to the demonstration boards but also to evaluation boards. These will enable users to judge the performance of the nano modules and regulators in the context of their own applications, thus simplifying the device selection decision." Ralf Regenhold, technical marketing manager of Power, TI, said: "Arrow's European technical team has been trained to provide a high level of support to customers considering the SIMPLE SWITCHER nano modules and regulators. With Arrow's assistance, engineers will be able to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the nano devices in relation to their own target applications. This will aid the component selection process and ensure that decision making is undertaken with all possible technical information available." About Arrow Electronics, Inc.
