EBV Elektronik, an Avnet (NYSE:AVT) company and EMEA's leading specialist in semiconductor distribution, has released its third annual ECOmise it™ Report. In this document, environmental activities and measures implemented during Avnet's fiscal year 2011 are detailed and future goals set. "For many companies, their commitment to environmental protection has become a hot topic. This makes it all the more important for EBV to distinguish itself from other companies and show that it is doing more than just applying a coat of ‘greenwash'. I think that the third annual ECOmise it Report once again shows just how different EBV's approach is. Although the ambitious goals we set ourselves make us accountable, our ECOmise it initiative has gained so much strength over the past year that we have nothing to fear from being transparent about our progress," explains Christian Meier, President & COO at EBV Elektronik. "As in previous years, the ECOmise it Fiscal Year 2011 Report documents what we have implemented and specifies future goals in a highly detailed manner." The very first EBV Elektronik ECOmise it Report was released in 2009, covering areas such as climate neutrality, resource conservation, car policy and green IT. The goals set for the following year were often not just reached, but actually exceeded. The current version of the ECOmise it Fiscal Year 2011 Report takes a detailed look back once more at the last 12 months and is available at www.ebv.com/ecomiseit, along with all further information on EBV's commitment to climate protection. At the end of fiscal year 2012, this year's goals will be evaluated and then released.
