Frantz Saintellemy will assume responsibility for Worldwide Sales & Marketing as of 01 January

ZMD AG (ZMDI), a global supplier of energy-efficient analog and mixed-signal solutions for information technology applications, has announced that Frantz Saintellemy will assume responsibility for Worldwide Sales & Marketing as of 01 January. Mr. Saintellemy takes the helm from 67-year-old Carlo Rebughini, who will retire at the end of this year. To ensure a smooth transition Mr. Rebughini continues to oversee strategic business development projects until his retirement. Mr. Saintellemy comes to ZMDI from Future Electronics, the global market leader in distribution and marketing of semiconductors and passive, interconnect, and electro-mechanical components. Before joining ZMDI, he served as chief technical officer and corporate vice-president of technical marketing. Prior to that, he held various management positions at Analog Devices (ADI). ZMDI also announced that it has broadened its portfolio with the launch of 24 new products in 2011, more than in any previous year. To keep pace, the company has filled 15 new positions primarily design engineers and sales specialists with a special focus on North American sales. The staff additions bring ZMDI's employee count to 295, including some 150 design engineers. As part of this growth, ZMDI will open a Silicon Valley office and applications lab for smart power management products. ZMDI seeks to achieve even more revenue from standardized products to continue the pattern of dynamic growth that has characterized recent years. One of the key engines of this growth has been smart power management products and solutions designed to reduce the energy consumption and harmful emissions of data centers. ZMDI has experienced overall growth of some 50 percent in the past two years, far outpacing the market. Thilo von Selchow, CEO of ZMDI: "ZMDI has achieved key strategic objectives faster than planned. We will accelerate the restructuring processes needed to protect these gains and strengthen our foundation for future growth. We are also pleased to welcome Frantz Saintellemy on board. Frantz is recognized as an expert in the marketing of innovative products and solutions. He has broad-based experience in the industry and possesses a special knowledge of the North American market. This gives our sales & marketing team the ideal foundation to further expand in the area of standardized products. We wish to thank Carlo Rebughini for his service to ZMDI. Carlo was instrumental in successfully repositioning the brand in line with the theme of 'energy efficiency.' We are happy that we will continue to benefit from his knowledge and experience in key projects. We wish him all the best in this next chapter of his life." Frantz Saintellemy: "The name ZMDI stands for 50 years of innovation in the semiconductor industry. As a fabless company, ZMDI is experiencing impressively dynamic growth. I know of almost no other company in the industry that has focused so consistently on 'green technologies' and the growth sector of 'energy efficiency.' That's why I'm so pleased that I can help shape the development of ZMDI in my new role and work with my team to help move the company forward. The high-performance 'Smart Power Management' circuits and the tiniest sensor for monitoring the status of automotive batteries are two highlights in the ZMDI portfolio."
