ADI announced it will be a sponsor of this year's Arrow Vision Series » Power Management 2013 North American tour. This exciting roadshow will wind its way to key cities across North America including Canada starting on August 22, 2013. These single day events are packed with valuable technical content, power supplier exhibits, and high-profile speakers. The key objective of this event is to help power design engineers discover new and improved products and design techniques that will help optimize there future designs driving higher levels of performance and greater energy efficieny. Analog Devices' technical sessions: Powering noise sensitive systems When it comes to high performance signal chains you need a high performance power solutions. Noise-sensitive circuits, such as analog- to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs), amplifiers, and phase lock loops (PLLs) demand low noise power supplies that require specialized design techniques. Engineers spend hours trying to figure out how to power these circuits without adding noise. This presentation will focus on understanding various methods for not only approaching, but meeting system requirements. The session will introduce tested solutions and layout considerations that must be taken into account when designing with switching regulators and low drop out (LDO) regulators. Got my data over the isolation barrier! Now how do I get power to run it? What do you mean I have to isolate this thing?" If you have ever thought your design was done only to find out you needed to isolate data in addition to getting power to the isolated circuits, then this session is for you. In this session, we will discuss the pros and cons of the various methods of accomplishing this task while saving important board space, design time and cost. Analog Devices
