MAX32620/MAX32621 microcontrollers from Maxim Integrated

Mouser Electronics is now stocking the MAX32620/MAX32621 microcontrollers from Maxim Integrated. The MAX3262x devices are based on the 32-bit RISC ARM Cortex-M4F microcontroller with a floating point unit (FPU), ideally suited for the emerging category of medical and fitness applications. Both devices include 2MBytes of flash and 256kbits of SRAM, with the architecture combining high-efficiency signal-processing functionality with low cost, and ease of use. The MAX32621 is a secure version of the MAX32620, incorporating a trust protection unit (TPU) with encryption and advanced security features.

Maxim Integrated MAX3262x microcontrollers feature four powerful and flexible ultra-low-power modes (LP0 – LP3) for use in rechargeable devices. The microcontrollers’ built-in dynamic clock gating and firmware-controlled power gating minimize power consumption for any application. Multiple SPI, UART, and I2C serial interfaces, and a Maxim Integrated 1-Wire master and USB, allow for interconnection to a wide variety of external sensors. The microcontrollers also feature a four-input, 10-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with selectable references.

Maxim MAX3262X microcontrollers are available from Mouser in a 3.9mm × 3.9mm, 0.4mm pitch, 81-ball WLP to minimize board space. The microcontrollers are ideal for small, low-power products, including sport watches, fitness monitors, wearable medical patches, portable medical devices, and sensor hubs.
