The RNV Series is a metal film resistor designed for high-voltage handling and robust environmental performance.  The RNV14 is a ¼ watt body size rated up to 1600 volts max working voltage and designed to withstand multiple 10KV pulses with less than a 1% shift in resistance.  In addition, the RNV Series is able to withstand elevated temperatures seen during a potting process, for example, with little resistance shift.  Finally the RNV Series, unlike standard axial leaded metal film resistors, is highly resistant moisture corrosion due to the nitride metal film element. The RNV Series is a popular choice for a wide range of switching power supply applications for white goods and video displays, AC power adapters, and electronic ballasts. The RNV is available in tape and reel packaging in 5K quantities and ammo packaging in 2K piece quantities.  Pricing varies with tolerance and ranges from $0.027 to $0.033 each in full package quantities.  Contact Stackpole or one of our franchised distributors for volume pricing.  Sixty part numbers are available in stock through online distribution.
