TE Connectivity (TE), a leader in connectivity and sensors, plans to feature the latest in high-performance solutions that enable an Internet of Things (IoT) approach to connected lighting and building automation in booth #1457 at LIGHTFAIR International, April 26-28, 2016, at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California.

As today's buildings – whether commercial, residential or industrial— become increasingly connected, they rely on a variety of connectors, sensors and relays to distribute power and data efficiently through the network. Specifically, the adoption of LED lighting in both new construction and retrofits is considered a catalyst in the transformation of connected building systems into truly automated buildings as a “Building Internet of Things” (BIoT).

During LIGHTFAIR, TE’s experts will share their expertise on the future of building automation along with examples of how TE is enabling OEMs to take advantage of an IoT approach to lighting systems.

TE’s booth will also feature a variety of products that help solve sensing, connectivity and switching challenges while increasing reliability and simplifying installation. The products will focus on several applications including:

Outdoor – Street and Area Lighting

TE will showcase numerous products that enable outdoor and area lighting to become part of an intelligent network, including installation connectors, dimming receptacles, the NECTOR M Power Distribution System, photo control bases, and lighting relays.

Indoor – Task and Area Lighting

Indoor lighting will be addressed with a series of internal connectors such as terminal blocks, modular poke-in connectors, NECTOR S Power Distribution System, and LUMAWISE LED holders.

Indoor – Fixture and Retrofit

Fixture and retrofit products for indoor applications will include a wide range of lighting relays, power line filters, installation connectors like Cloudsplitter, internal connectors such as hermaphroditic, inverted thru board interconnects, modular releasable poke-in connectors, and SlimSeal connectors.

TE’s product experts will be available for one-on-one discussions at its booth throughout the show to discuss the IoT approach to intelligent buildings as well as lighting trends and products.
