IHLD series low-profile, high-current dual inductors

Vishay Intertechnology introduced the first device in its new IHLD series of low-profile, high-current dual inductors. Offering two inductors in one 4032 package, the space-saving automotive-grade IHLD-4032KB-5A is the industry's first dual inductor to offer a high operating temperature range to +155 °C.

The Vishay Dale inductor released today is optimized for automotive and commercial class D amplifier circuits, where the device reduces board space requirements and offers improved performance over using multiple discrete inductors. The IHLD-4032KB-5A's optimal design produces high-quality sound, low distortion, and low coupling for minimal cross-talk between inductors.

Built on Vishay's IHLP technology, the AEC-Q200-qualified inductor offers maximum DCR from 32.6 mΩ to 107 mΩ, inductance from 10 µH to 33 µH, rated current to 5.6 A, and a frequency range up to 1 MHz. The device handles high transient current spikes without saturation and has excellent temperature stability for inductance and saturation over its operating range. Manufactured using a 100 % lead (Pb)-free shielded, composite construction package, the IHLD-4032KB-5A is specified for an operating temperature range of 55 °C to +155 °C, with high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration.

Samples and production quantities of the new dual inductor are available now, with lead times of 10 to 12 weeks for large orders. Pricing for U.S. delivery only is $0.85 per piece.
