Leading power supply specialist Powersolve announces two new series of Lithium batteries designed to replace 9V PP3 batteries in applications that require long life, a stable operating voltage and a very low self-discharge rate. The G600 Series are rechargeable Lithium Polymer batteries while the CP9V Series are Lithium Manganese Dioxide primary batteries. G600 Series batteries are reusable alternatives to standard PP3 format alkaline batteries. They have a rated capacity of 600mAh and feature a standard charge cycle of four hours. These G600 batteries do not suffer from memory effect and come with a protective circuit module (PCM) which protects against over-charging, over-discharging and over current. They are fully safety tested for impact, crushing, short circuit and piercing and operate between -20 and +60°C. Powersolve can also supply chargers. With a nominal capacity of 1200mAh, CP9V batteries feature a maximum continuous current of 400mA, a maximum pulse current of 800mA and a self-discharge rate of less than 2% per annum @ 30°C. Housed in an ABS case weighing just 33 grams, these batteries operate at temperatures up to +60°C. According to Powersolve's Managing Director Peter Clark, versions can be manufactured to customer specific dimensions depending on quantities.
