Melanie Pizzey, TTI Vice President Global Product Operations, made the announcement. "We are pleased to announce this year's Supplier Excellence Award winners." TTI acknowledges the following suppliers for their outstanding performance: Bourns, FCI, Honeywell, KEMET Electronics, KOA Speer Electronics, Littelfuse, Molex, Murata, Phoenix Contact, TDK and Vishay. TTI presents Bourns, KEMET, KOA and Vishay with the Platinum Award which is the highest award level given. Platinum achievement level requires five consecutive years of award recognition, and continuous recognition each year to maintain Platinum status. The Diamond Award for the highest overall point achievement and the Best Quality Award for the supplier who scored highest in each of the Quality categories will be presented to KOA Speer Electronics for the second year in a row for their distinguished performance in North America for 2011. The Silver Award will be presented to Phoenix Contact and Littelfuse for three consecutive years of recognition. For the first time, TTI introduced a new level of global recognition in 2011 for the supplier who earns the award in all three TTI regions - North America, Europe and Asia, and who scores the highest total points globally. This year the Global Operations Excellence Award is presented to VISHAY. Pizzey commented, "Vishay is to be commended for their outstanding global coordination of efforts to earn this most prestigious level of recognition." The award ceremony will be held at the TTI Supplier Executive Breakfast Presentation at EDS in Las Vegas, Nevada, Tuesday, May 8, 2012. The program is centered on quality measurements that include: on-time delivery, receiving quality, customer-reported quality, administrative quality, operations and business systems. In addition, there are performance measurements such as sales and management support. For the past 17 years overall supplier performance has substantially improved since the inception of the recognition program.
