250W Weatherproof AC-DC Power Supply for Industrial Uses

    01/26/2021

Calex Manufacturing Company, Inc. announces the 250-Watt LHC Series AC-DC power supply. The ruggedized, weatherproof enclosure and thermal design allow the power supply to be deployed in severe conditions. The LHC Series was specifically designed to operate in the most demanding weather conditions, and for use in harsh shock and vibration environments.

The LHC series is offered in fixed single output voltages of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc with constant current overload protection. The power supply design includes a universal AC input with an active PFC, enabling the supply to reach a peak efficiency of 95%. The fully potted and sealed electronic enclosure enables operation in demanding environments. The LHC series is ideal for applications that require reliable power such as outdoor signs, automated assembly lines, and manufacturing applications.

The LHC has been inserted into an air-cooled ruggedized Ingress Protection 67 (IP67) rated enclosure, that can operate in an ambient temperature range of -20c to +50c. The overall enclosure is fabricated from an extruded aluminum case that is sealed using a thermally conductive material. “The IP67 sealed enclosure allows the LHC power supplies to operate in uncontrolled environments where fluid, chemicals, dust and sand exist”, said Michael McNally, Director of Product Marketing at Calex Manufacturing.

The LHC series power supplies measure 6.29 x 3.90 x 2.24 inches, with a weight of 3.46 pounds, and are designed with an EMI filter that meets Class B CISPR and FCC standards. The power supplies are RoHS compliant and IEC 60950-1 certified.

For more product specifications, the datasheet is available for download on Calex's site.
