504W Quarter Bricks offer exceptionally high true useable power

TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the iQG series of 504W rated DC-DC converters, further expanding its isolated DC-DC product portfolio.   Packaged in the industry standard ¼ brick form factor, the iQG models offer exceptionally high true useable power, even in demanding thermal environments.  Applications include a wide variety of data communications, telecommunications, and test and measurement equipment.

The PCB mount iQG DC-DC converters have the standard Intermediate Bus Converter (IBC) five pin foot print, measuring 57.9 x 36.8 x 13.54mm.  The integral baseplate allows operation at 438W in an ambient temperature of 55°C with just 2m/s airflow.  The use of an external heatsink or cold-plate will further extend the thermal performance.  Having efficiencies of up to 96.3% reduces internal power losses, ensuring reliable operation.

The 12V 42A output iQG will accept an input voltage of 39 to 75Vdc, maintaining a tight
+/-210mV regulation over all input voltage, output load and temperature conditions.  For increased power requirements, droop mode current share is available as an option to facilitate parallel operation.  The converters will automatically recover from input under-voltage, over current and over temperature conditions.  Input to output isolation has been tested to 2,250Vdc (basic insulation).

Safety certification includes IEC/EN 60950-1, UL/CSA 60950-1 with CE marking for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives.
