750W 1-Inch Profile AC-DC Power Supply Offers Multiple Cooling Options for BF-Rated Medical and Industrial Equipment

­XP Power is extending its CCR series of compact, low-profile AC-DC power supplies with the higher power CCR750. Designed for medical and industrial equipment, the series delivers up to 320W with convection cooling, 600W with conduction cooling and 750W when fan and conduction cooled. Its baseplate-cooled design improves thermal management and supports quieter operation. These flexible cooling options allow designers to balance thermal performance, acoustic noise and system cost, while fanless convection and conduction cooling can improve reliability by eliminating the need for a mechanical fan. 

As medical and industrial equipment becomes more compact, designers need power supplies that deliver higher output without increasing system size. At just 25.4mm high, with a compact 154.8 x 83.5mm footprint, the CCR750 enables higher power to be integrated into space-constrained equipment, including medical imaging, respiratory care, patient monitoring and treatment equipment. 

Designed to meet the growing need for high efficiency power supplies, the CCR750 delivers efficiency up to 94%, reducing power losses, waste heat and cooling requirements. A universal single-phase input of 85 to 264VAC supports global operation, with eight output models providing nominal voltages from 12VDC to 54VDC. The series requires no minimum load and incorporates overvoltage, overload, short-circuit and overtemperature protection. Class B conducted and radiated emissions help minimise external filtering requirements, simplifying EMC compliance and system integration.

For medical applications, the CCR750 carries global medical safety approvals and meets IEC60601-1 requirements with 2 x MOPP primary-to-secondary isolation. Patient leakage current is below 90µA and earth leakage current is below 300µA, supporting integration into BF-rated medical equipment. The series also meets IEC62368-1 requirements, making it suitable for industrial applications including process control, test & measurement, robotics, industrial printing and analytical instrumentation.
