    All-Metal Current-Sense Chip Resistors

    01/22/2020

Many of today's consumer electronic devices operate at lower currents than previous generations of these products. This allows the use of slightly higher resistance values for current sensing and allows for the use of very small current sensing resistors.

For applications that require current sense resistor values from 2.5 milliohm up to 20 milliohm and small form factor, the CSS0402 from Stackpole offers a robust all metal sense resistor with tolerance as low as 1% and TCR of 100ppm or 150ppm depending on resistance value. This makes the CSS0402 a viable option in sensing from a few amps up to over 11 amps of current with exceptional accuracy.

    The CSS0402 is available in 2.5, 5, 6, 8, 10, 15, and 20 milliohm resistance values.

Pricing for the CSS0402 is $0.125 each in full reel quantities. Contact Stackpole or one of our franchised distributors for volume pricing. The 2.5 milliohm and 10 milliohm resistance values are currently in stock.
