    Anderson Power Completes IBC Lineup with IBC 80 Release

    ­As electrification expands into smaller industrial and off-highway equipment, engineers still need the ruggedness and monitoring capabilities of heavy-duty battery connectors while working within compact spaces.

    Anderson Power is addressing that need with the launch of the IBC 80, the smallest of its three-model Industrial Battery Connector (IBC) family first introduced last year.

    Designed to meet DIN standards, the IBC 80 supports 55 to 220A and is compatible with 10-35mm2 power contact wires. Like the broader IBC family, the IBC 80 is designed to simplify installation, maintenance and battery monitoring with features including:

    • Four auxiliary signal connections to support additional monitoring and communication functions

    • A modular contact cartridge design that simplifies assembly and contact replacement

    • An optional IP68-rated sealing kit for protection against moisture, dust and debris while mated

    • Contact temperature sensing to help identify and mitigate overheating during power transfer

    • Power and auxiliary wire strain relief for added connection durability

    • Plug, receptacle and panel-mount configurations, along with an optional latching handle

    With all three models now available, engineers can select from a broader range of configurations based on their application’s power and connection requirements.
