Anglia and Silanna Partner to Deliver Lower-Cost, High-Performance ADCs Across Europe

Anglia Components, one of Europe’s longest-established, independent, authorised distributors of electronic components, has signed a pan-European franchise agreement with Silanna, makers of laser driver products and configurable analog-to-digital converters that are pin-for-pin compatible with industry standard parts from major global analog IC suppliers, offering comparable or enhanced performance with up to a 30% cost saving.

Says John Bowman, Anglia’s Marketing Director: “These high quality, cost-effective ADCs are the latest addition to Anglia’s burgeoning linecard of analog parts. We have been designing in similar parts for many years and have invested in stock and FAEs to support the market. So, we know there will be a big demand when customers learn about the performance and incredible pricing of these value-disruptive products.”

Explains Patrick Moore, Vice President, Global Sales & Apps, Silanna Semiconductor: “It’s great to have such a knowledgeable distribution partner as Anglia as part of our supply chain. They offer very innovative services and so do we: recently, for example, we announced a two-year price freeze on our parts – place a production order today and we’ll hold that price for two years. We’ve done this to counter the huge price hikes that the leading names in the analog IC world are enforcing. In this way we are providing stability for our customers in this challenging market.”

Silanna’s proprietary Plural™ architecture enables multiple devices to be created from the same chip platform. This means that design costs can be minimized, new, optimised chips can be brought to market quickly, and supply chain shortages, obsolescence and bottlenecks can be avoided.
