Antaira Introduces "G-Series" General Purpose Industrial Ethernet Switches

Antaira Technologies, a global developer and manufacturer of industrial networking and communication solutions, today announced the G-Series, a family of general-purpose industrial Ethernet switches designed for cost-conscious deployments. The unmanaged switches feature industrial construction and plug-and-play operation for connecting machines, cameras and controllers in OEM and system integration applications.

Two Product Lines, 24 SKUs

The Antaira G-Series includes two product lines. GNX switches provide Ethernet connectivity, while GNP switches add IEEE 802.3at PoE+ with up to 30 watts per port to power compatible IP cameras, wireless access points and other devices over the same cable that carries their data. Customers can choose from Fast Ethernet and Gigabit models in 5-, 8- and 16-port configurations. Each of the 12 base models is offered in a standard version and an extended-temperature “T” version, for a total of 24 SKUs. 

Key features of the G-Series include:

• Unmanaged operation: Plug-and-play connectivity without switch configuration.
• Three port counts: 5-, 8- and 16-port models support installations ranging from compact machine cells to control cabinets.
• Fast Ethernet or Gigabit speeds: 10/100 Mbps models support devices such as PLCs, HMIs and sensors; 10/100/1000 Mbps models support applications with greater bandwidth demands, including video.
• PoE+ support: GNP models deliver up to 30 watts per PoE+ port to compatible devices. The 5-port GNP models provide four PoE+ ports and one non-PoE Ethernet port for an uplink.
• Extended operating temperatures: “-T” models operate from -40°F to 167°F (-40°C to 75°C), making them suitable for unconditioned enclosures and other demanding environments.

Unmanaged Simplicity Across Automation, Surveillance, and Transit

The G-Series is designed for applications that require industrial Ethernet connectivity without advanced switch management, including factory and building automation, video surveillance, traffic and transportation systems, utilities, kiosks and OEM equipment. Integrators can select the port count, speed, PoE capability, and temperature rating appropriate for each installation. 

Extended-temperature Gigabit Models

Unmanaged Gigabit Switch Models, all have an extended Operating Temperature (-T): -40°C to 75°C.

• GNX-0500G-T is a compact, rugged 5-port 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet switch
• GNX-0800G-T is a compact, rugged 8-port 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet switch
• GNX-1600G-T is a compact, rugged 16-port 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet switch

Unmanaged Gigabit PoE+ Switch Models, all have an extended Operating Temperature (-T): -40°C to 75°C.

• GNP-0500G-T is a compact, rugged 5-port 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet switch with four IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ ports delivering up to 30W per port and 90W total PoE power
• GNP-0800G-T is a compact, rugged 8-port 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet switch with eight IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ ports delivering up to 30W per port and 200W total PoE power
• GNP-1600G-T is a compact, rugged 16-port 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet switch with 16 IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ ports delivering up to 30W per port and 300W total PoE power
