APEC issues call for professional education seminars for March 2014 conference

The IEEE Applied Power Electronics and Exposition Conference (APEC), a leading worldwide conference and exhibit for practicing power electronics professionals, announced a call for Professional Education Seminars for the upcoming APEC 2014. The 29th annual APEC event will be held at the Ft. Worth Convention Center, March 16-20, 2014. The Call for Papers is now open for digest submission. The Professional Education Seminars at APEC 2014 address the need for in-depth discussion of important and complex power electronics topics. Each seminar combines practical application with theory designed to enhance the education for the professional working in the power electronics or related fields. The professional Education Seminars at APEC are three-and-one-half hours (including breaks) in length, can range from broad to narrow in scope, and can vary from introductory to advanced in technical level and they complement the technical papers, the specialpresentations and the comprehensive exposition. According to Eric Persson, Chair of the Professional Education Seminar program, "These Professional Education Seminars offer qualified presenters an exceptional opportunity to share their knowledge with APEC attendees." Important Deadlines Deadline for proposal submission is August 30, 2013. Notification that a proposal was accepted or declined will be emailed no later than October 21, 2013. Final submission (presentation materials in final camera-ready form) will be open for acceptance on October 28, 2013 and will be accepted no later than January 15, 2014. At APEC 2014, the seminars will be given during the morning and afternoon of Sunday, March 16, 2014 and the morning of Monday, March 17, 2014. APEC
