Asite multi-year contract will see them work on a number of exciting projects including the MTA Capital Program 2020-2024

Asite has been appointed as the Electronic Project Management Solution for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in New York City.

Following a competitive tender process, Asite’s Common Data Environment platform was chosen to work on existing and upcoming MTA projects, including the MTA Capital Program 2020-2024.

Nathan Doughty, Asite CEO said:

“Asite is delighted to be working with the MTA at a historic time in their development. Their Capital Program 2020-2024 will be a milestone moment for the modernization of public transport and upon completion will positively impact the lives of MTA’s nine million daily customers.

We’re proud to bring our expertise in integrated supply chains and capital projects to bear for the MTA and the great city of New York. Together we will deliver a fully collaborative project portfolio management platform for information sharing across the supply chain.

This project is central to Asite’s vision to become the global leader in digital engineering and help the world build better.”

Asite has already begun working with the MTA. This work has seen the implementation of a project management system which enables the sharing, collaboration, communication and reporting of data across over 300 active projects. The system can also be implemented on all upcoming projects. This system enables project teams to use the software throughout the workflow of all design and construction activities.

This work has included building a customized platform for the MTA which included migrating existing data onto the Asite platform, and custom mapping of all MTA and MTA subsidiaries processes into a common digital format, moving information about capital projects online to a collaborative environment.

The Asite software allows project team members to access information in the field through the Adoddle field app on handheld devices.

Asite is also responsible for training over 2,400 internal and external users of the Asite software.

One of the main bodies of work which will directly benefit from using Asite’s Project Management Software is the MTA Capital Program 2020-2024. This is the largest ever transformational plan of the MTA system which will see $54.8 billion capital investment across all MTA assets.

This program will aim to deliver a world-class transit system to New York and the surrounding areas with investment in core areas of the MTA.

Other projects which will use Asite as their Project Management Software include Phase 2 of the Second Avenue Subway and Penn Station Access which will transform travel options for residents of East Harlem, the Bronx and Westchester increasing the reach, capacity and accessibility of the regional transportation system.
