Astute appoints Susan Jacques Strategic Business Director

    05/14/2016

Astute Electronics, a leading supplier of electronic components and value added services, has announced the appointment of Susan Jacques as Strategic Business Director. Jacques is a well-known and highly respected industry figure whose many previous roles have included being the UK MD of a global electromechanical components manufacturer. She has been given a wide ranging role at Astute, charged with looking at all aspects of the business and to drive improvement.

“I have known (Astute MD) Geoff Hill for many years”, said Jacques, “and he offered me a very interesting challenge – to spend time in each of the business activities and to come up with proposals to drive the business forward. Initially I will be focusing on the business systems as we grow our franchise distribution side and relocate to new premises which we are due to move into by mid-summer. I will also be looking to develop our marketing activities in support of the future direction of the business.”

Geoff Hill added “Susan is an important part of our plan to bring in the top people available to ensure our growth and success over the next five years. Astute’s business has developed significantly over the last five years with the addition of many significant franchises and our fully-equipped and AS6081-accredited test facilities. Now is the time to invest in talented individuals to strengthen the team so that we can deliver on our promise to excel in design, fulfilment and support.”
