Bear Power Supplies Wins Contract to Design EV Charger

    05/12/2020

Bear Power Supplies has won a contract to design a charger for lithium-ion battery packs for an electrical vehicle (EV) application. The custom 550-Watt AC/DC converter will have a universal 120/240 VAC input for worldwide use. It will feature a fan-less design, rugged aluminum housing, and custom output cable.

"Our design engineering team is uniquely qualified to tackle this custom industrial power supply," said Michael Allen, President of Bear Power Supplies. "In addition to our extensive power supply design experience, we can offer our customers in-house prototyping and the ability to take the completed design seamlessly from new product introduction to full production in the USA."

Bear expects to complete the power supply design and begin production at its upstate New York, USA electronics manufacturing facility in fall 2020.
