Bourns Announces Versatile Square-Package Air Coil Inductor Series Featuring a High Q Value and High Self-Resonant Frequency

    01/30/2026

Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, today announced its AC3028SQ, AC5037SQ, ACXX14SQ, ACXX15SQ, and ACXX18SQ Series Air Coil Inductors. The five new series deliver High Q and high self-resonant frequency (SRF) with tight inductance tolerance that enables designers to meet ongoing demands for smaller, faster and more compact electronics. These new air coil inductors feature a square package design with a flat top and bottom that streamlines reliable pick-and-place assembly while providing superior mechanical stability.

Other significant features of the five new inductor series include high Q values up to 230, with inductance ranging from 5.5 to 82 nanohenries (nH), making them ideal for today’s high-frequency TV and radio receivers, radio transmitters, RF amplifiers and tuning application designs. In addition, Bourns' AC3028SQ, AC5037SQ, ACXX14SQ, ACXX15SQ, and ACXX18SQ Series Inductors have a tight tolerance of 2 percent and 5 percent, with DCR values that range from 3.4 to 12 milliohms (mΩ). These air coil inductors offer rated current values from 2.7 to 5.6 A and feature an operating temperature range of from -25 °C to +125 °C.

Bourns' AC3028SQ, AC5037SQ, ACXX14SQ, ACXX15SQ, and ACXX18SQ Series Air Coil Inductors are available now and are RoHS compliant. For more detailed product information, please go here.
