Bourns Releases New Shielded Power Inductors for High-Current, Low-Profile Automotive and DC-DC Designs

Bourns announces the release of its SRP2010PA, SRP2510PA, and SRP2512PA Series shielded power inductors designed to support high current operation in space-constrained electronic designs. The new series combines a metal-alloy powder core with shielded construction to reduce magnetic field radiation while maintaining a low-profile package.

Designers of automotive and DC-DC conversion circuits continue to face increasing current requirements alongside tighter space and thermal constraints. Shielding is often required to minimize EMI, while compact footprints limit allowable component height. The SRP-PA Series addresses these constraints by providing high saturation current capability, controlled magnetic leakage, and an operating temperature range suitable for demanding automotive environments.

“By combining a metal-alloy powder core with a shielded structure, the SRP-PA Series supports higher current handling in low-profile designs without increasing magnetic field radiation,” said Edward Liu, Product Line Manager, Magnetics, Bourns.
