Bourns Unveils Current Transformer Line with New Model that Features High Turns Ratio with Permalloy T-Core Construction

­Bourns, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of electronic components for power, protection, and sensing solutions, today unveiled the Company’s new current transformer line with its Model PCP300-T414250S Transformer. The new model is made with high-efficiency permalloy material that helps reduce heat loss and energy consumption. This technology also enables fast power conversion rates with elevated precision, making this transformer ideal for power quality analysis. In addition, its advanced features support a wide range of rated current measurements, including high-frequency current sensing in power meters and motor load monitoring.

The Model PCP300-T414250S Current Transformer has a maximum primary continuous current of 300 A, with a dielectric strength of up to 3.5 kV, which are required to help ensure the safety of both equipment and personnel. Additionally, the new transformer features a protective coil housing design suitable for applications that operate in challenging environments.
