CamSemi founder wins Silver Medal from Royal Academy of Engineering

Professor Florin Udrea - a co-founder of CamSemi - has been awarded a Silver Medal from The Royal Academy of Engineering for his pioneering work in commercialising more cost-efficient power management ICs and other devices, as well as his ‘outstanding personal commitment' to the UK's electronics sector. In addition to his ongoing role at CamSemi, Professor Udrea [pictured left] is a founder and CEO of Cambridge CMOS Sensors; he leads the High Voltage Microelectronics Group at University of Cambridge; and is a non-executive director of Cambridge Enterprise. He co-founded CamSemi with Professor Gehan Amaratunga, who was elected a fellow of the Academy in 2004 and also awarded its Silver Medal in 2007.
