Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the introduction of the CMLM0574 integrated MOSFET and Schottky diode packaged in the ultra miniature SOT-563 surface mount case. The CMLM5074 consists of a 30V, 450mA N-Channel MOSFET and a 40V, 500mA low VF Schottky diode. This integrated device is optimal for space constrained applications where energy efficiency is a requirement. The CMLM0574 provides true isolation between the MOSFET and diode for added design flexibility. Both devices have enhanced specifications. The MOSFET has a low rDS(on) of 460m? and an ID of 450mA, while the Schottky boasts a low VF of 350mV. The ultra miniature SOT-563 case utilizes 35% less board space than the SOT-523 and SOD-523 combined. In addition, the SOT-563 has a low profile of 0.6mm. The small size, low profile and outstanding electrical performance make the CMLM0574 the ideal choice for a wide variety of battery powered portable devices such as cellular phones, MP3 players, glucose blood analyzers, and hearing aids. The CMLM0574 is suitable for applications such as DC to DC conversion, reverse polarity protection, battery charging, and voltage clamping. Pricing for the CMLM0574 starts at US$0.15 each for 3,000 pieces on tape and reel. Sample devices are available upon request. Specifications for this new device can be found in the New Products / Latest Updates section of Central's website at: www.centralsemi.com/new
