C-ENX EN 4644 Modular Rectangular Connector

Cinch Connectivity Solutions, a division of Bel Fuse, unveiled the C-ENX EN 4644 Modular Rectangular Connector. The series is standardized by the EN 4644 European Standard and is available with electrical and optical interfaces including, Cinch EBOSA™ Expanded Beam Technology.

This series features our patented active alignment technology which aligns a standard LC ferrule to Cinch’s EBOSA with ultra-high precision. This solution is used for contaminated environments and demanding applications where ease of maintenance is necessary. The C-ENX series offers a wide range of solutions based on two insert sizes. Within each are a large variety of shells and contact arrangements. Shell materials include aluminum stainless steel and composite providing solutions for many applications.

The Expanded Beam Technology also offers advantages for cleaning and reduces sensitivity to particulate contamination and misalignment. This series accommodates both Multi-mode and Single mode fibers and different cable diameters. It is versatile with ruggedized solutions. This features a design that reduces the risk of damaging the optical end face when mating is completed, even on the most difficult to reach areas.

C-ENX is widely used in the latest modern airframe designs where weight and space are at a premium. Cinch Connectivity Solutions designs and manufactures harnesses equipped with C-ENX for Avionics, Radar, Power and Flight management applications.
