CUI Introduces 10~30 W Chassis Mount Dc-Dc Converters

    10/09/2011

October 5, 2011 — CUI Inc announced the release of a new line of 4:1 input dc-dc converters ranging from 10~30 W that are housed in a compact chassis mount package. Featuring screw terminal connections, the VYB10W-T, VYB15W-T, VYB20W-T and VYC30W-T Series are designed for applications where the convenience of chassis mounting is required, including transportation equipment, mobile equipment, and telecom base stations. With a temperature range of -40 to + 85°C, the converters are ideally suited for most operating environments. Available in +3.3, +5, +12, or +15 V dc single output models and ±12 or ±15 V dc dual output models, the converters accept input voltages of 9-36 V dc or 18-75 V dc. The wide input range is very useful when being driven from a fluctuating device such as a battery which can see both charging and discharging conditions. All outputs are fully regulated to within ±0.5% over all line input conditions and ±1.0% for all load conditions. Additionally, input to output isolation of 1,500 V dc is provided across the range. Dimensions for the VYB10W-T, VYB15W-T, and VYB20W-T Series are 55 x 35 x 19 mm while the VYC30-T Series measures 67.5 x 55 x 19.1 mm. Single output 15 W, 20 W and 30 W models offer an output trim that allows adjustment within ±10% of nominal output, while all models include remote on/off. Additional features include short circuit protection for the entire series, and over current and over voltage protections for 15 W, 20 W and 30 W models. An optional accessory kit is also available for DIN rail mounting. The VYB10W-T, VYB15W-T, VYB20W-T and VYC30W-T Series are available through Digi-Key starting at $29.49 for 100 pieces for 10 W models. Contact CUI directly for OEM pricing.
