Consumer electronics, especially portable electronic devices, continue to trend towards faster speeds and lower power. This means in many cases circuitry can be simplified and downsized, including the power control and delivery platform. Lower operating currents and lower voltages mean large size current sense resistors aren’t necessary for power handling.

Stackpole's CSS0201 is an all metal current sense resistor that provides a small chip size in resistance values of 10 and 20 milliohm, in tolerances as low as 1% and TCR of 200 ppm. This means that the design engineer doesn’t need to sacrifice accuracy in downsizing to an 0201 sense resistor.

Pricing for the CSS0201 is $0.15 each in full reel quantities.
