    DOE issues final rule on UPS energy standards

    The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a pre-publication Federal Register final rule pertaining to energy conservation standards for uninterruptible power supplies, a class of battery chargers. (December 28, 2016).

    This pre-publication final rule is subject to the procedures at 10 CFR 430.5.
    The effective date of this rule is 60 days after publication in the Federal Register.

    All notices, public comments, public meeting transcripts, and supporting documents associated with this rulemaking are included in Docket No. EERE-2016-BT-STD-0022.
