Dresser-Rand to showcase biogas and syngas engines at POGEE 2015

    03/30/2015

Dresser-Rand, a global supplier of environmentally friendly technology platforms in distributed power generation for the oil and gas, industrial, institutional, and commercial industries, will showcase its biogas and syngas engines to visitors attending POGEE 2015.

POGEE visitors looking for environmental solutions for waste disposal can visit booth #2-146 to learn about Dresser-Rand Guascor® engines ranging from 150 to 1,240 kWb (112 to 1,663 bhp) for biogas and from 263 to 825 kWb (196 to 616 bhp) for syngas.

The SFGLD engine series was specifically developed to work on lean gases from biogas (sewage, landfill, bio-digestion processes) and biomass gasification processes where the combustible components are primarily CO and H2. The engine performance depends on the purity of the biomass gas resulting from the gasification process and subsequent cleaning. The content of tar and particles in the gas that is fed into the engine is critically important.

The engines have been successfully tested with product gases from the gasification of wood, olive oil waste, nut shells, coffee grounds, and waste tires. Dresser-Rand Guascor engines offer an important solution to clients who are looking for environmentally-friendly ways to help manage their waste streams.

To learn more about Dresser-Rand’s biogas and syngas engines, stop by booth #2-146 during POGEE 2015 in Karachi, Pakistan on April 23-25, 2015.
