Eltek announced a DC/DC converter designed for 380VDC input and 48VDC output, providing 3 kW at 48VDC with an industry-leading efficiency of 98.2%.
“This unit expands the market for 380VDC power distribution significantly as it offers an end-to-end DC solution for a wide range of IT equipment. Penetration of 380VDC is limited due to a scarce availability of servers that can run on 380VDC. With this converter, we are able to offer the advantages of a modular DC system to a much wider range of data centers,” said Morten Schøyen, Chief Marketing Officer for Eltek.
The new DC/DC converter will be a part of the Flatpack2 HE family, of which Eltek has delivered more than 850.000 modules. Together with the Flatpack2 HE 3kW 380VDC rectifier module, it represents an important building block in Eltek’s product portfolio for data centers.
Availability
Trial units have been supplied to key customers. Volume deliveries will depend on market requirements.
