The Qt Company has announced that six leading designers and suppliers of embedded chipsets have joined the Qt Partner Program. The program aims to create value for the whole Qt ecosystem with members integrating technologies with Qt so that users benefit from a seamless, integrated experience.

The new partners that will be cooperating with Qt to facilitate the creation of new solutions for the embedded device market include ARM, Boundary Devices, Freescale Semiconductor, Silica, Texas Instruments and Toradex. The partnerships will provide a significant contribution to the development of embedded devices for all manner of applications, including connected devices for the internet of things.

“The addition of such prominent members of the embedded device ecosystem to the Qt Partner Program will enable developers of embedded devices to bring devices with innovative and modern interfaces to market faster than ever before,” said Juhapekka Niemi, VP Sales & Marketing, The Qt Company. “The pressure on embedded device creators has increased dramatically over the years, with users demanding high-performance devices equipped with beautiful interfaces that run fluently at 60fps, while development cycles get shorter and these partnerships will help ease that pressure.”

Qt brings efficiency and shorter-time-to-market to embedded device development, allowing engineers to create beautiful, high-performing and modern UIs and applications. The pre-configured development environment together with the pre-built and optimized Qt software stack enables immediate deployment to verified reference boards allowing users to get up and running with a working embedded project prototype from day one.

The new partners will expand the pool of verified reference boards, ensuring the smooth development of embedded devices for the Internet of Things and upcoming embedded trends.
