A leading event on energy harvesting technologies and their application, Energy Harvesting & Storage USA, to be held in Santa Clara on November 18-19 features presentations from companies covering both high power and low power energy harvesting solutions in addition to the applications of these technologies.

Speakers discuss applications of energy harvesting, ranging from presentations on IoT, automotive and sensors from companies such as Hewlett Packard, InvenSense, Volvo, Bosch, and United Technologies Research Center.

Energy Harvesting Technologies are then covered in sessions focused on different technologies, such as high power thermoelectrics, airborne wind energy, electrodynamics and photovoltaics. The photovoltaics session alone covers technologies from the highest PV efficiencies ever achieved to lower efficiency but flexible devices offering new integration opportunities. Wireless power also features heavily - from powering consumer electronics to presentations on wireless charging of electric vehicles.

Beyond the harvesters themselves, sessions look at the interfacing electronics, with companies such as Atmel, Texas Instruments, Linear Technology and EM Microelectronic looking at these options and exploring the applications in wearable technology, consumer electronics, IoT and vehicles.

With energy storage a critical component, presenting companies cover flexible batteries and supercapacitors to new post lithium ion battery solutions - what is coming and when and what the capabilities will be.

As a technology enabler, the event goes further than these 50 presentations by deeply exploring the end use applications of energy harvesting across many verticals, with full conference streams dedicated to wearable technology, printed electronics, the internet of things, sensors and electric vehicles. By bringing all these together attendees can meet all these supply chain participants in one place, saving time and money.

Raghu Das, CEO of IDTechEx, the global technology scouting and market research firm that hosts the event, says, "Energy Harvesting started out as low power harvesting in the main but in the last two years there has been enormous progress with higher power solutions. This event explores all the options, including storage and the electronics behind it. In addition, it provides that all important reality check with end user insights. Expect to learn new things, deep dive into the areas you are interested to learn much more about, and meet all the players under one roof."

The conference agenda is devised by analysts who are experts on these topics and therefore speakers are invited based on the merit of new technical progress and deployment - information that will provide business intelligence for you if you are in or want to get involved in energy harvesting.
