Energy Micro appoints Andrea Marchi as VP of Sales for Asia-Pacific

Energy Micro, the energy friendly microcontroller company, has announced the appointment of Andrea Marchi as VP of Sales for the APAC region. He joins Energy Micro's General Manager and Director of Sales, Greater China, Bryan Hung, at the company's newly opened Asia Headquarters in Hong Kong. Andrea joins Energy Micro from Texas Instruments, Dallas, where he was General Manager of the Ultra Low Power & C5000 DSP business unit. He was formerly Director of TI's Analog Business in Europe and Director of the company's European ASIC & Wireless Infrastructure DSP Group. He holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Milan Polytechnic, Italy. "Initial market reaction to Energy Micro's low power EFM32 Gecko microcontroller has already been very positive in Asia-Pac and it's the right time to establish a stronger foothold there. I look forward to further expanding our activities in the territory," said Marchi.
