TDK announced that its subsidiary, EPCOS Limited in China, has received the Excellent Service Award 2012 from Huawei Device, a leading Chinese manufacturer of mobile handsets and network terminals. The award recognizes outstanding performance in the areas of customer service and on-time delivery. The EPCOS products supplied to Huawei Device include SAW components, RF front-end modules and multilayer varistors for mobile phones and mobile broadband products, as well as surge arresters for the protection of fixed wireless terminals, broadband modems, set-top boxes and routers. Huawei Device is a subsidiary of Huawei Technologies, China's largest and one of the world's leading manufacturers of telecommunications equipment. In 2012 the company, which is based in Shenzhen, China, registered global sales of USD 35 billion. EPCOS Limited in China has already won Huawei Technologies' Core Supplier Award four times. EPCOS
