Evaluation board provides electromagnetic compatibility protection

    04/26/2013

Analog Devices and Bourns have co-developed the first externally-certified EMC-compliant interface design tool for RS-485 circuits to protect against electromagnetic compatibility events in industrial and instrumentation equipment. The tool is now available for same-day shipping from leading electronics distributor Newark element14. The cost efficient board enables engineers to test circuits at the beginning of the design cycle and offers 3 different protection circuits. Device drivers, integration files and evaluation hardware is included with the board to help engineers reduce design risks in industrial applications such as motor controls, grid tiered inverts and programmable-logic controllers. A webinar from ADI and Bourns, "Safeguarding RS485 Communication Networks from Harmful EMC Events" can be downloaded at any time at Newark's element14 engineering community. Newark element14
