Excelsys adds a powerPac model to its popular XF series of high reliability, ruggedized COTS modular power supplies

    07/24/2014

Excelsys Technologies, specialists in high efficiency user configurable power supplies, announce the availability of their latest powerPac model in its popular XF series of high reliability, ruggedized COTS modular power supplies. The new model, the XFN, is designed to deliver 1000W at –40°C thus complimenting the other products in the XF range which operate to -55°C.

Designed for use in harsh operating environments the XFN model is in a 1U package and conformally coated and ruggedized as standard to withstand extremes in shock and vibration to MIL-STD-810G levels. The new powerPac model carries full safety agency approvals including UL 606950 and is EMC characterised to MIL-STD-461F.

Other standard features include 47-440Hz input frequency, 1.5V to 58V standard output voltages, individual output control, completely field configurable with option to factory fix, all outputs fully floating allowing series/parallel connection of all multiple outputs for non-standard voltages or higher output current, paralleling of powerPacs for higher system power and ultra-high efficiency, up to 91%

All models in the XF series feature over voltage, over temperature and over current protection, provide a 5V/250mA bias standby voltage, individual output control of every output module, a market leading 5 Year Warranty and are SEMI F47 Compliant for use in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.

Dermot Flynn, Sales Director, comments, “The new XFN model extends our already very successful XF MIL COTS family of configurable, ruggedized power supplies and offers designers the flexibility to select the most appropriate model for their requirements without over-specifying. Our XF family provides a single solution to the vast majority of harsh environment MIL COTS power requirements and is simple for users to configure for non-standard output voltages.”

Typical applications for the Excelsys XF range of products include harsh environment electronics (industrial and MIL/COT’s), test and measurement, radar (fixed, mobile and naval) and communications.
