Farnell element 14 launches interactive catalogue and more than 190,000 products

Farnell element14, the multi-channel distributor of electronic components, part of the Premier Farnell group, has launched its latest interactive catalogue, featuring over 190,000 products, designed to make the buying process easier. This new interactive catalogue follows the launch of the company's MRO Cat - which showcased Farnell element14's maintenance and repair products, earlier this year. Accessible from PC, iPad and Android tablet, the new interactive catalogue includes several enhancements based on customer feedback. Key improvements include offering quicker page flips and enhanced search functionality which allow customers to browse and purchase in less time, and better search functionality makes results much more precise. The online version also allows the customer to print a mini catalogue, which can be tailored to an individual or company's needs. The new features, some of which are unique in the industry, include daily stock availability, live chat with the technical team and the option to download product technical data sheets. Existing features allow easy electronic browsing in the same layout as the paper catalogue which users can view in full page or zoom. Excellent search and bookmarking functions plus the ability to add notes directly to the pages helps customers find the products they need quickly.
