Farnell Selected as First Distributor to Offer New FT Series Capacitors from Panasonic

    03/18/2011

Farnell has added the new Panasonic FT series of surface mount aluminium electrolytic capacitors to the already extensive range it offers from the market-leading supplier. Recognising the strong relationship Farnell has with the electronic design engineering community, Panasonic has chosen Farnell to be the first to stock the new devices. The FT series achieves new levels of equivalent series resistance (ESR) and ripple current performance relative to device case size. Available with capacitance values ranging from 22 μF to 820 μF, and with a choice of working voltages of 25 V, 35 V and 50 V, the miniaturised devices suit a wide range of applications where space is limited and high performance is required. The FT series has an endurance rating of 2000 hours at 105 °C and an operating temperature range of -55 °C to +105 °C. "Panasonic is a global leader in capacitor technology and we are proud that they regard Farnell as the ideal distribution partner to take these important new devices to market," said Andy Brook, Product manager for passive components and Circuit protection at Farnell. "Through our element14 eCommunity we can offer our customers all the design support, information and interaction they need to quickly and effectively implement their new designs using the Panasonic FT series." www.farnell.co.uk
