Fully Integrated, Baseplate-Cooled 320W Full-Brick AC-DC Power Supplies for Sealed, Space-Constrained Systems

­XP Power introduces the ASB320 series of 320W fully integrated, baseplate-cooled AC-DC power supplies offering single output from 12V to 54VDC in a compact, encapsulated brick format. Global ITE safety approvals, Class B emissions and a low-profile rugged mechanical design make these power supplies an ideal choice for space-constrained industrial automation, communications, test and measurement, and analytical instrumentation equipment. 

Featuring a built-in EMC filter, AC fuse, and bulk storage capacitor, the units reduce external components, bill-of-materials (BOM) cost, and layout complexity, enabling faster time‑to‑market. High efficiency, up to 94%, and baseplate cooling at operating temperatures from -40°C to +90°C enable efficient thermal management, supporting reliable operation in compact sealed or fanless systems. 

The ASB320 offers seven single DC output voltages: 12, 15, 24, 28, 36, 48, and 54VDC, and features a universal input range of 90 to 264VAC enabling global operation. With peak power capability of up to 360W for 5s, the units provide sufficient headroom for transient loads without oversizing. In addition, the ±5% output voltage trim helps engineers optimize system performance for specific load requirements. 

As a complete solution, the units offer in-built over current, over voltage and over temperature protection circuitry, providing comprehensive safety measures that safeguard both the power supply itself and the critical end application it powers.

The ASB320 expands XP Power’s ASB series of fully integrated AC-DC power supplies from 75W, 110W & 160W, up to 320W, providing higher power for compact, sealed designs without increasing integration complexity.
