GAÏA Converter Introduces the MGDM-500/P with a New Parallel Option for Scalable Power Solutions up to 3 kW

    02/21/2025

GAÏA Converter, a world leader in high-reliability power conversion solutions, is proud to announce the introduction of a parallel option to its MGDM500 series. This new feature optimises the scalability of the power architecture, enabling users to reach power levels of 3 kW while maintaining high efficiency and reliability.

The new parallel option, based on droop control, enables seamless load sharing between modules while requiring minimal external components—just a single low-power sense resistor—streamlining system integration and reducing additional component costs.

Key benefits of the new parallel function include:

    • Scalable Power Solutions : Supports 12, 15, 24, and 28Vdc outputs and allows up to 6 modules to be combined, reaching power levels of up to 3kW.
    • Ultra simple droop control operation of 5%
    • Minimal Additional Components: Only one low-power sense resistor is needed.
    • Features:  trim, sense+, sync, and on/off, ensuring compatibility with existing designs

The MGDM500 series now offers an optimized solution, delivering greater flexibility and scalability for high-reliability applications.
