Gannett Fleming and LDP to develop power solutions

    06/02/2016

Global infrastructure firm Gannett Fleming and Laramore Douglass and Popham (LDP), an electrical engineering design consulting firm, have created a joint venture partnership. The agreement enables the firms to offer a stronger complement of services and bring the most appropriate expertise to design and construction projects spanning various industries.

The partnership evolved after Gannet Fleming’s power group and LDP’s substation team worked together on a 230-kV substation project in New Jersey. “We have found a strong partner in LDP,” said George Campanella, PE, LEED AP, senior vice president and director of facilities and power for Gannett Fleming. “Our shared culture attracts the best talent in the industry, allowing us to provide innovative power solutions to clients of both firms.”

Individually, both firms have a long history of success as engineering consultants and well-established reputations of excellence. Together, the companies can tackle larger, more complex projects as power industry needs continue to grow.

Gannett Fleming brings 100 years of experience to the partnership, delivering global infrastructure solutions with a focus on planning, design, technology, and construction management. LDP has specialized in electrical design for nearly eight decades, providing all aspects of power delivery engineering, from feasibility studies and system analysis, to full energy systems and industrial networking design for both traditional and renewable applications.

“This joint venture is a win-win for everyone: for LDP, for Gannet Fleming, and most importantly for our clients,” explains LDP Vice President Tony Zamberlan, PE. “As a joint venture, we are able to provide a local presence in more areas, an expanded list of services, and the most technically qualified project teams.”
