Genscape works with Open Data Initiative & DOE at upcoming New York Energy Week Symposium

    06/21/2013

New York Energy Week (NYEW) is the first collaborative, cross-sector energy event series, launched to stimulate industry investment and innovative energy solutions. Genscape, the company that pioneered the placement of thousands of patented, in-the-field energy monitors to measure market fundamentals in real-time, is proud to be a founding sponsor of the first ever NYEW taking place in venues across New York City during the week of June 24-28. Genscape energy experts will be sharing their insights during a number of headline events throughout the week including the Oil and Gas breakfast panel and the Energy Data Jam at Google headquarters. The Energy Data Jam, an idea storm for 50 energy thought leaders seeking solutions to energy problems, was made possible through a collaborative effort between Genscape, the White House Open Data Initiative, the Department of Energy and Energy Infotech NYC. "As a company that values transparency, innovation and technology first and foremost, the Genscape family is thrilled to be working with the New York Energy Week team, and the other thought leaders in the energy space, on this one of a kind event," said Matthew Burkley, Genscape's CEO. "Genscape is committed to a culture of open dialogue and entrepreneurship where productive ideas can flourish, so we're looking forward to seeing how the NYEW platform for discussion will further advance industry investment and spur new energy solutions." The week is comprised of industry generated events all around New York City. Organizations determine the details of the event and then gain additional audience and visibility by including their event on the NYEW platform. New York Energy Week Genscape
