Recognizing the rapid growth in energy storage market activity in California and Hawaii as well as the company’s continued growth, Greensmith announced the official opening of its California operating center in Emeryville, California at 6475 Christie Ave. Located in the Emeryville technology corridor near the eastern entrance of the Bay Bridge, the new multi-use location adds to Greensmith’s current East Coast technology and operating center in Rockville, MD and its software development center in Reston, VA.
“We are playing an ever-increasing role in the energy storage market, with on-the-ground engagement and support to a growing number of customers and partners looking to benefit from our technologies and expertise,” said John Jung, Greensmith CEO. “We simply go where the action is, and so as we expand our relationships, hire more great people and deliver new technologies and solutions - including 23 MW of deployments in three states this year - it makes sense for us to establish our West Coast operations in the California Bay Area. The new location will also be an ideal base from which to manage our increasing interaction with OEM partners in Asia who we visit on a regular basis"
