    Hofer Technology and Horse Powertrain Combine Expertise to Develop a New Next-Generation Hypercar Transmission

    ­hofer technology has entered into a new development partnership with Horse Powertrain in the field of high-performance transmission technology. The collaboration focuses on the development of an entirely new DCT transmission for demanding hypercar applications. Following the signing of the agreement last week, the project is now underway., hofer technology will support Horse Powertrain in transmission and transmission control software development, while Horse Powertrain advances the key development and implementation steps toward industrialization and manufacturing readiness.

    With many years of experience in developing high-performance transmission systems and software solutions for exclusive vehicles, hofer technology is among the leading powertrain technology partners in this demanding niche market. This experience is particularly valuable in projects involving high mechanical complexity, short development timelines, demanding safety requirements, and a high degree of integration. This combination of deep software expertise, transmission know-how, calibration capabilities, functional safety, vehicle-level implementation, and long-standing industrialization expertise is being applied directly in the collaboration with Horse Powertrain. Together, the two partners are working to implement the solution with speed and technical precision.
