IHS Engineering360 Media Solutions, a leading provider of digital media solutions designed to connect industrial marketers with their target audience of engineering and technical professionals, announced that it has partnered with the Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA) to help authorized distributors provide current price and availability information to their target audience on Datasheets360.com. IHS Engineering360 is part of IHS, a leading global source of critical information and insight.

As part of this multi-faceted relationship, buyers can access the most current price and availability information from ECIA authorized distributors on Datasheets360.com, a comprehensive source for manufacturer datasheets and distributor pricing and availability information, searchable by partial and exact product numbers. Each month, Datasheets360.com delivers 950,000 datasheet page views. From there, interested buyers can select distributors and purchase parts via ECIAAuthorized.com, an inventory aggregation site that provides genuine electronics components from authorized sources.

Additionally, IHS Engineering360 is now managing operations and sales for display ads on ECIAAuthorized.com, exclusively for ECIA member companies. Organizations that take advantage of this opportunity can purchase a bundled program to generate exposure on both ECIAAuthorized.com and Electronics360.com, an online publication delivering news, industry insight and commentary on the end-to-end electronics value chain.

Going forward, this relationship will also allow for visitors to the IHS Engineering360.com and Electronics360.com websites to access datasheets, price and availability information from ECIAAuthorized.com via content articles, new product introductions and teardowns.

“Decision makers and influencers at all levels of an organization rely on Datasheets360 and Electronics360 to deliver quality content at every point in the product lifecycle,” said Don Lesem, vice president, digital media and engineering insight for IHS. “Through our partnership with ECIA, we will be able to provide this audience with even greater access to the content they need, while delivering enhanced value to ECIA’s membership of component manufacturers and distributors.”

“This relationship with IHS is part of our ongoing effort to provide additional value to ECIA members, promoting and driving greater awareness of their companies and offerings,” said Victor Meijers, vice president of marketing and communications, Electronic Components Industry Association. “This partnership is a great example of the type of collaborative effort ECIA strives to foster among our members and partners that helps optimize the industry and increases the ease of doing business for our customers.”

“We’re always supportive of new options that make it easier for design engineers to locate the right parts to meet their needs,” said Dave Doherty, executive vice president of operations, Digi-Key. “As a longtime supporter of both ECIA and IHS, we commend their collaborative effort in creating this new resource that will surely increase efficiencies around both procurement and product design, ultimately saving buyers time and cost. When the customer wins, we all win.”

“This is a very exciting partnership for our customers,” said Blair Haas, chief executive officer, Bud Industries, Inc. and chair, Electronic Components Industry Association. “The growth of ECIAAuthorized.com has been phenomenal in meeting the user’s demand for authorized product and avoiding potentially counterfeit goods. The next step is making the site a one stop hub for all of the required product information combining IHS’s industry leading datasheet resource with ECIAAuthorized.com’s stock and pricing data. Together, we will provide the best possible customer experience in gathering product information.”
