JA Solar Holdings, one of the world's largest manufacturers of high-performance solar power products, announced that its multicrystalline PV modules have become the first to successfully pass a Thresher Test conducted by TÜV SÜD, one of the world's leading providers of testing and certification services. The Thresher Test is an accelerated test of a module's long-term performance and reliability. The test subjects modules to varied environmental conditions and power output levels, challenging their ability to perform safely and reliably. Based on conventional silicon PV module tests, the Thresher Test offers a detailed measure of degradation patterns, thus providing customers with a more accurate measure of product quality.
