    SLN5 current sense resistors

KOA Speer expands molded current-sense resistor line

    07/11/2016

KOA Speer Electronics introduced the SLN5 Molded Current Sense Resistor, featuring a 7 Watt power rating in 4527 size. The SLN5 offers a terminal port temperature of 70°C. This is a molded resin resistor designed for current detection and provides excellent dimension accuracy, mountability, and shock resistance. In addition, it offers excellent terminal strength, heat shock resistance, and solderability due to its metal plate terminal electrode.

KOA Speer’s SLN5 resistor has low T.C.R. available down to +/-75 ppm with resistance tolerance as low as 0.5% and resistance values of 5mΩ to 200mΩ. With an operating temperature of -65°C to +180°C, the SLN5 is AEC-Q200 qualified surface mount type resistor with flame proof UL94V0 molded case.

Used primarily for current detection, the SLN5 current sense resistors are ideal for transportation, industrial, telecommunications, and consumer electronics markets in applications such as personal computing devices, DC to DC conversion, automotive modules, motor control, and power supplies.

Lead time is 12 weeks for the SLN5. Samples are available upon request.
