RIGOL Technologies introduces options for its best-selling DSA815-TG low-cost spectrum analyzer. This compact instrument is designed for multiple applications, and in combination with an additional 1.5 GHz tracking generator and an optional VSWR bridge it can also be used as a scalar network analyzer. In particular the DSA815-TG is a great tool for EMI pre compliance testing according to CISPR 16. Spectrum analysis is a necessary function in many test laboratories, but one that usually comes with a premium price tag. The DSA815-TG spectrum analyzer from RIGOL Technologies represents a cost-effective alternative for engineers in need of this measurement capability but with limited funds. This full-featured instrument incorporates an all-digital intermediate-frequency (IF) section for accurate, high-resolution measurements from 9 kHz to 1.5 GHz and significantly reduces amplitude deviations over time and frequency compared to analog technologies. With additional options like the EMI Filter & Quasi Peak Detector and the Advanced Measurement Kit the spectrum analyzer DSA815-TG is ideal for pre compliance tests of boards, devices and components. This allows customers to troubleshoot and test designs on their bench without having to schedule and pay for time at a full compliance lab. The pre testing helps engineers to stay within the EU-wide regulations for EMC already during the design phase and prevents from very expensive re-designs. It results in reduced development time and accelerated time-to-market. Although the DSA815-TG does not perform exactly like a fully compliant EMC test instrument according to CISPR 16-1-1, it is ideal for all necessary pre-tests. The instrument, which stands for an excellent price-performance ratio, has already proven its advantages as a spectrum analyzer in countless applications. Key features include: • Frequency range from 9 kHz to 1,5 GHz • Displayed noise level DANL: without pre-amp up to -115 dBm (typ.), with pre-amp up to -135 dBm (typ.) • Amplitude measurement range : DANL up to +20 dBm • Sweep time: 10 msec up to 1,500 sec.; In Zero-Span 20 μsec up to 1,500 sec • Resolution Bandwidth RBW 100 Hz up to 1 MHz, in 1-3-10 sequence (-3dB BW) and 200 Hz, 9 kHz, 120 kHz (-6dB BW) • SSB phase noise: < -80 dBc/Hz @10 kHz offset from carrier • Tracking generator: frequency range from 9 kHz up to 1.5 GHz and output level from -20 dBm up to 0 dBm • Detector: Normal, Positive Peak, Negative Peak, Sample, RMS, voltage leveling, Quasi Peak • Display: 8"-TFT-LCD with 800x480 pixels and 64,000 colors • Interfaces: USB, LAN, USB for mass storage, optional IEEE interface Rigol Technologies Europe
